Attica – Mrs. Jessie Mae Dwiggins,  607 E. Jackson St, Attica, died unexpectedly at the St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo at 10:30 a.m. Sunday after becoming ill at the home of her son, Joe Grady of Galveston where she was visiting. She had been in ill health for about two years, however, it was never serious. Born March 28, 1884 in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Thomas and Mima (Willis) Bailey. On March 3, 1901 she married Matt Grady who died Nov 2, 1937. She then married Sherman Dwiggins Nov 17, 1942. He died Dec 29, 1959. She was a member of the Attica Christian Church, Attica Chapter 125, OES the Thursday Club and the 500 Club.  Surviving with her son are one daughter: Mrs. Edna Phelps of Attica; one sister, Mrs. Clifford Stevenson of Williamsport; four  grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the DeSutter Funeral Home, Attica after noon Tuesday where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. J. David Lang will officiate and burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
